Denver and the lack of sleep

Poor Denver,

I recently pass few late nights behind computers... and the poor Denver always feel like "I have to stay around, who knows, maybe he will need my help"...

The funny thing is he knows when I finish working - He usually start to wake up to enjoy some "night owl" moments with me: He is usually quite funny during the day, but at 2AM, when he is sleepy, he becomes a love ball. He just wants hugs and kisses.
Quite nice after squashing bugs for hours.

I also noticed that Denver really really loves humans... no matter where we go, he always try to get people attentions:
  • Saturday: Nuage and me went to the supermarket with him - Denver and me waited outside - Results: He saw an elderly woman and passed his time being "really social" with her... [And I got a few WTF? questions like "So you will go to Finland for the summer ?"]
  • Denver also try to speak to peoples - most of the time, when he pass near people he think friendly, he suddenly starts to speak like a wookie... Sadly, most of the people are a little bit surprised/afraid, even if the speak sound quite friendly...
For other dogs, Denver is more shy - he always first check if the dog is aggressive (he waits, he don't go) and only if it seems ok, he starts to jump like a kangoroo and want to play...

Now, Nuage and me are pretty curious to see his reactions Sunday...
Soon - really soon now !

And here comes a picture of Denver full of energy:

When he will finally go to sleep, I will chew his laptop...

I think it's time for a walk...

You think so too ! Really !?

The Vet returns

Yesterday we went to the vet for Denver's last vaccination.
Denver is now a little bit more than 18Kg and he was not really afraid of going back to the clinic. That's already a good news.

There he met a young German Shepperd of his age. Well... at the beginning, Denver was a little bit shy... unlike this new "friend" who's called Kenzo. This doggy was way happier to see Denver, so he was quite playful... he gave a lot of kisses to Denver... but Denver was more reluctant to receive them... Our Denny only gave one or two, but was more like "Ok, I will be polite..."

After a while, Denver noticed that Kenzo was not able to go really far from his master with the leash. So he started a new game: come near me to play!... and when Kenzo arrived... Denver just jumped backward elegantly (Denver is really good at being jumpy)... so Kenzo was always strangled and restrained, and started to get too excited. So I asked Denver to come near me and stop being a smart ass. And Denver did it.He quietly lied down and was doing like:"You see, Malamutes have a long history of perfect training and obedience. In every movie with animals, we always play the parts of the good dogs... Did I ever tell you that Rintintin was actually a malamute ? Some makeups and here we go. Sorry, but yes, German Shepperds are overrated"

That was pretty funny to see Denver showing off his good attitudes... I really like that funny look: "I listen when I want... and now I want..." which just makes the other dog annoyed"

With the vet, Denver did also like "How did you know that I like vets? Look how lovely I am!" and this worked - the vet was under the charm of our last dino - She made the 2 last shots - Denver cried just a little bit, probably to say "I am a sensitive baby"...

Here comes the photos - courtesy of my mom that agreed to do photo reporter:

The Arrival

Cool, a friend !

Whoaw... A real one, that's less funny...

And who are you ?

You are a little bit annoying you know ?

You see, I am well educated

You slime a little bit !

Is this really necessary ?

Actually, I was more thinking to discuss political situation

hihi - I can jump and you can strangle yourself

Come on, I won't jump...maybe...

That was funny !

Ok, you can take a picture of me

The Game

Denver got a new game: chasing his own tail - since a few day, Denver must run after his tail for at least 10 minutes... the most funny thing is most of the time we start to hear "boum - silence - boum"...
And we find out that Denver is turning around, and sometimes hits himself on the furnitures o_O'

Yep, Denver is a little bit clumsy sometimes... He is good at running like a hell, and then hits something on the ground (a shoe or a toy) and he ends his travel crash landing on the ground... then look at me like "What happened ?"

So, here comes some pictures of Denver playing:

I got a new toy...

My tail !

After the tail, I even got a ball...

Play time !

Weekversary and the come-back of Nuage

I didn't speak of it since it was not a happy news, but Nuage was away for a while: She had to go to Taiwan to see her family and now she is back after 3 weeks away - that's why most of the photos where from my parents - They were babysitting Denver during the day so I was able to go to work :-)
[Again, big thanks to them !]

But now, she is back and Denver is really happy about that :-D
Yep, I am cool, but Nuage is better :-)

So yesterday Denver went to the "hair dresser" (I didn't :-p) and today morning we went to the train station... and as usual, Denver was the king of the show - I don't count the number of "What a beautiful dog !" I heard in the train station.
And the nicest thing: That's the first time I saw so many people smiling in a train station... Denver puts sunshines in the eyes of many people today...

And since there is lots of photos of this adventure, I test a basic "flash" presentation (click to pass to the next picture, sorry, no "back"):

SuperToys !

Maybe it starts to be boring, but Denver is still a funny little doggy :-)

Now for the choice of toys - sometimes Denver is funny - he got a collections of bones, 2 or 3 "kwiiick kwiiick" rubber toys - some of them with an 'expensive' price tag - But still, Denver has some favorites: the super cool empty plastic bottles, different sizes and shapes.
Right now he is into Pelligrino small bottles and now when I drink, I get a Denver looking at me patiently, expecting to receive another fantastic toy when the bottle is empty!

I guess he must be some kind of MacGyver (MacDenver !) - you give him an empty bottle and he transform it in a super dog toy... and he doesn't even need a swiss knife for that.
I should probably start to sell this new "fashion" toy on eBay :-p

Some commercial pictures and the proof Denver is a smart dog:

HappyDogBottle(TM) - Your best friend best toy !

HappyDogBottle(TM): Your best friend can now play "I am a famous singer" game !

And the proof of Denver intelligence:
He can read the newspaper...
[or he was too lazy to go out for "peepee" and he prepares the toilet... and I still think this qualifies for Dog Nobel prize]
