First School day

Today was a special day - Denver is 5 months now, so finally he could go for his first school day ! And actually it's working quite well :-)

Since it's really about "Denver trying to understand what he has to do", it took him some time and patience to figure out those orders. Moreover, most of the people were there with dogs of "average size/strength", and we arrived with a sled dog... which already has the size of a big dog. So of course,  there were a few interesting moments while Nuage was doing some exercises with a dog which is that strong. It's not like that  forcing a "sit/lay down position" is something really easy, however, since Nuage is the real chief of Denver, they two are actually doing quite well !

And this evening we were really "woaw...":
Denver now walks right next to Nuage's left side and follows her pace. He didn't pull, didn't do anything crazy. Though, according to what I read, malas are not the most appreciated dog for training, I think Denver is pretty good at it!

I do think that the strong love bond he shares with Nuage actually helps a lot: He is ready to do anything for her including "being a well trained dog".

5th Monthversary of our Bulgarian Malamoute

Ok - again stuck with too much work and don't have the time to do a lot of updates...
Anyway - I explained to Nuage how to use the digital reflex... So now she should be able to make photos as well :-D

So our house baby starts to be a big boy - He got a load of new teeth and really, they are the real things... I saw "big dog" teeth before, but Denver ones are really the real things...

On the other hand, we started to give him yogurt for his bones/teeth as adviced by Rita... and Denver is really crazy about it... So currently we call him "The Bulgarian Malamoute"...

Meeting over - Back home

What a nice day !
We are finally back home - Denver slept nearly all the way - I only disturbed him 2 times to get out and walk a little and I envoyed seeing Denver looking at me like "You really think I need to go ? I start to like this transporting sofa.... it's...so...conforrrrronfl ronfl...."

The arrival was also quite funny - Denver was still thinking to pass his night in the car and was not really enthusiastic to leave it, even in front of the house...
After lots of "Daaaaanny..." he finally went home, say hello to my parents, Didi and momo...
He gave a big kiss to Heidi who was WTF? - I guess Danny must now think about Heidi: "You are actually not chief at all, so come on..."

And then... he slept for a while... then suddenly wake up he gave me his "couic couic" ball and we did some slow "go get the ball".
Strangly, he was looking like "you always have to play with your human to keep them healty...but god, that's hard..."

He then said hello to his bone... and went back to sleep...

Denver and the lack of sleep

Poor Denver,

I recently pass few late nights behind computers... and the poor Denver always feel like "I have to stay around, who knows, maybe he will need my help"...

The funny thing is he knows when I finish working - He usually start to wake up to enjoy some "night owl" moments with me: He is usually quite funny during the day, but at 2AM, when he is sleepy, he becomes a love ball. He just wants hugs and kisses.
Quite nice after squashing bugs for hours.

I also noticed that Denver really really loves humans... no matter where we go, he always try to get people attentions:

• Saturday: Nuage and me went to the supermarket with him - Denver and me waited outside - Results: He saw an elderly woman and passed his time being "really social" with her... [And I got a few WTF? questions like "So you will go to Finland for the summer ?"]
  
• Denver also try to speak to peoples - most of the time, when he pass near people he think friendly, he suddenly starts to speak like a wookie... Sadly, most of the people are a little bit surprised/afraid, even if the speak sound quite friendly...

For other dogs, Denver is more shy - he always first check if the dog is aggressive (he waits, he don't go) and only if it seems ok, he starts to jump like a kangoroo and want to play...

Now, Nuage and me are pretty curious to see his reactions Sunday...
Soon - really soon now !
